First off I'll give a couple comments on this weeks comics then I'll give some comments about softball. This weeks comics include, Hulk #80, Green Lantern Rebirth #5 and Superman/Batman #18. This was my fourth issue of Hulk and I started picking it up ONLY because Peter David is writing it. The last three issues have been fine and all but felt kind of dull, good but dull. This issue was great! A Wolvie and Hulk fight a couple of murders and some great art, and the plot is ... uh ... advancing. GL: Rebirth was of course the best so far for this mini. hal Jordan is back and he and Sinestro go at it! (the punching and the fighting that is not that other thing ... eww, I can't believe you thought of that you sick-o. Man.) The internal monolog of Hal is great and Kyle and Hal meeting was great. I'll just skip to the end and say the whole thing was great. Finally S/B #18, this is the last issue for the forseeable future that I will be picking up of this title. One reseon is the new artist next arc and the story involves supergirl which I don't give two shakes about. But this arc ended rather well I though. I was groaning for the last few issues because it was timetravel and all that. I'm looking forward to the ongoing GL series which will features Pacheco's art, which looks great in this issue.
Enought about comics, I do have other things I do, one of which is play softball .. badly. Why softball? because that's all there is to my knowledge and it's not taken too seriously as far as I know. So our 'practice' had a great turn out of seven people, one of which didn't do anything. We played catch, tried some feilding and tried to hit. Emphasis on
tried. Turns out I'm the teams best bet for a pitcher. Draw your own conclusions from there.
