Last night I got myself the movie Gattaca on the DVD. This is one of my favorite movies and has been for many years. I've had it on VHS but decided to pick it up on DVD since it was a mear ten bucks at the store. Which leads me to my first segway; media companies and thier "new formats". Now don't get me wrong, I think DVD is far supirior to the lowely vhs. But ... well, I'd be all day is I typed about that. Back to the point, if it were one. Gattaca is a great movie. I certantly hope things don't go that route. I for one am pessimistic about this but someone close to me believes that humanity as a whole will make the right decisions. We'll see. Tony Shaloube (sp?) is on the movie very breifly. What an awesome guy. Monk is awesome. To my surprise there are deleted sceens. One is funny, others are ... ehh, and another could be a mini movie in and of itself. This is not saying it's long, (which it is reletively speaking concerning the other deleted sceens) just that it brings up some interesting thought provoking points. Namely, after the family has chossen which of the four fetilized eggs to use for their Kostom-Kid (tm), the mother askes about the others. The doctor responds, they were mearly what could be. No bigger than a speck of dust.
