First up is Conan #12. Starting a new 'arc' (a fickle little thing that is both good/bad in my opinion and is great if you want to sell TPB) this month Conan finds himself accompanying a wizard and meeting a warrior woman. Who will most likely be a supporting character for sometime since they spent a while on her 'origin'. While I love Cary Nords art, it seems a little sloppy here, the story on the other hand is very nice and stays true to REH's original, although a little heavy handed at times.
Legion of Superheroes #2: I never followed the LoSH before, I simply knew of them, similar to the way I know of a country called Chad. I picked it up because I want to broaden my horizons and not be a marvel whore like I was 'back in the day'. This issue didn't have the cleverness or humor of issue one but brought in an actual story element as opposed to a premise set up in #1. The art is good, but nothing stellar. You know, I take that humor comment back, the last page with the goats is pretty funny, although I didn't get it the first time though, because I have ADD.
In other avenues of my life (at least of the pointless and self serving ones, which dominate); I formatted, reinstalled, reinstalled, reinstalled, reinstalled, ad nausium over the past week and a half. Everything came out just fine. And, I think, although I'm probably imagining it, everything runs better.
I apologize for the lack of humor in this post. Unless you never thought I had humor in the first place, then; I hope you enjoyed this post.
